Carrot Beet Detox Juice
This carrot beet juice is your new go-to. It tastes super fresh and is easy to whip up when you need a little pick-me-up. Plus, it's totally vegan.
Ingredients
- 4 large carrots
- 2 medium beets
- 1 large apple
- 1 piece ginger (about 5 cm long)
- 0.5 lemon
Instructions
- Wash 4 large carrots thoroughly under running water and trim their ends. You can peel them if desired, but it's not strictly necessary if they are clean.
- Wash 2 medium beets well. Trim both ends and peel them using a vegetable peeler. Cut the peeled beets into smaller pieces to fit your juicer.
- Wash 1 large apple. Core it and cut it into smaller pieces suitable for your juicer. You can leave the skin on for extra nutrients.
- Take 1 piece ginger (about 5 cm long). Peel it using a spoon or peeler and cut it into smaller manageable pieces.
- Cut 0.5 lemon in half and remove any seeds. You can juice it separately or add it directly to the juicer (if juicer can handle citrus with peel, otherwise peel it).
- Assemble your juicer. Feed the prepared carrots, beets, apple, and ginger through the juicer, collecting the fresh juice in a pitcher or glasses.
- Squeeze the juice from the 0.5 lemon directly into the pitcher with the freshly extracted juice, or add it through the juicer if you peeled it.
- Stir the juice well to combine all ingredients. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired (though typically not needed with apple and carrot sweetness).
- Serve immediately in 4 glasses. You can add ice cubes if you prefer it chilled.
