Gulkand Rose Towers
These Gulkand Rose Towers are a simple, elegant dessert layered with creamy yogurt and sweet rose petal preserve. They're a lovely treat for after dinner or an afternoon pick-me-up.
Ingredients
- 500 grams Greek yogurt
- 4 tablespoons gulkand
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 20 grams pistachios
- 8 fresh rose petals
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine 500 grams Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon rose water. Stir gently until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
- Coarsely chop 20 grams pistachios. Set aside a small amount for garnish.
- To assemble the towers, have four small serving glasses or ramekins ready. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the sweetened yogurt mixture into the bottom of each glass. Spread it evenly.
- Next, add 1 tablespoon of gulkand over the yogurt layer in each glass. Spread it out gently.
- Sprinkle a portion of the chopped pistachios over the gulkand layer in each glass.
- Repeat the layers: another 2 tablespoons of sweetened yogurt, followed by 1 tablespoon of gulkand in each glass.
- Finish with a final layer of sweetened yogurt on top. Gently smooth the top surface.
- Refrigerate the Gulkand Rose Towers for at least 1 hour to allow them to chill and set.
- Before serving, take the chilled towers from the refrigerator. Garnish each tower with the remaining chopped pistachios and two fresh rose petals. Serve immediately.
